Declining Cases

Dalhousie Place Supervised Access Centre reserves the right to refuse/terminate service where the safety of participants, staff and volunteers cannot reasonably be ensured and/or;

  • There are violations of the service agreement
  • Parties decide to withdraw from our program for their own reasons
  • Concern for the safety and well-being of participants, staff and volunteers of the Centre
  • A residential parent requires supervision
  • Children are in the care of Child and Family Services
  • Child and Family Services conducts an investigation; once initial investigation is complete service may resume on a case-by-case basis.
  • Parties do not agree to the terms/type of access
  • Access between the Non-Residential parent and child are taking place outside of the Centre’s services.

Dalhousie Place Supervised Access Centre provides safe, neutral, child-focused services including supervised visitation, exchanges, and support for families.
Volunteers supervise parents/visitors and children during access periods and exchanges. They ensure factual documentation of observations regarding access visits and monitored exchanges.
