Services Overview

Supervised Parenting Time – Visits & Exchanges

Families can be referred to Dalhousie Place Supervised Access Centre by a Court Order, Minutes of Settlement, Mediation Agreement, or Endorsement. Self-referrals are accepted, however both parties must sign a written agreement specifying the terms of access.

SUPERVISED VISITS

A supervised visit takes place at the Centre under the constant supervision of access workers. Staggered drop off and pick up times are in place so that there is no contact between both parents. Length and frequency of visits are set out in the written agreement and are based on the availability of the Centre’s space and resources.

MONITORED EXCHANGES

A monitored exchange is when the children are dropped off by one parent and picked up by the other parent. The Centre provides a place where the children can go from one parent to the other safely. Staggered drop off and pick up times are in place so that there is no contact between parents. The children are monitored only at the time of exchange.

Volunteer Today
